Polar Vortex Ceiling Water Damage from Frozen Pipe
This water damage happened after a pipe froze in the attic of this Huntsville home during the Polar Vortex storm in January 2014. The water from the attic came down into two rooms below. The ceilings in both rooms were heavily saturated and were already sagging and falling in when our crews arrived.
Our crew worked quickly to clean up the mess that had fallen and removed the rest of the ceiling tiles. Insulation was also removed. The affected rooms did not have carpet and there was no significant damage to the flooring. Dehumidifiers and air movers were placed to dry the home.
