Mold After HVAC Leak
A leak was discovered in the HVAC unit of a home in Huntsville in August. SERVPRO was called 5 days after the discovery of the leak. Water damage had occurred to the hallway, living room, a bathroom, and 3 bedrooms. The HVAC was no longer operational and the temperature inside the home was much warmer than the ideal range.
As the crew was cleaning up the water damage, they discovered mold growing along the baseboards of the closet in the living room. The issue was discussed with the homeowner and the insurance adjuster. The flooring, baseboards, and drywall were removed. The area was treated with an antimicrobial agent.
