Polar Vortex Frozen Pipe Water Damage

When the Polar Vortex hit Huntsville in January 2014, our office received almost 200 calls from Huntsville residents who had water damage after a pipe froze and burst.  We called for backup.  A SERVPRO franchise from South Alabama sent crews to help and another SERVPRO franchise from Texas also sent crews to help.  

In this home, the water from the pipe flooded 7 rooms and 3 closets.  The homeowner had already removed the carpet and padding in the hallway when we arrived.  We removed the remaining carpet and pad in the bedrooms and living room.  Drywall had to be removed in 3 of the rooms.
